Dance Competition Photography (every routine captured)
If you’re competing, we’re shooting.
Our competition photography is designed to capture the best moments of every routine — the technique, the performance quality, and the highlights dancers want for memories (and teachers want for review).
How it works:
1)Register (where required)
Some events use a registration-only process so we can match routines correctly and make sure nothing is missed.
2) We capture every routine
Every routine is photographed to preserve your moments on stage.
3) Galleries are uploaded after the event
Some images may be available the same day, but please allow 1–3 days for full uploads (event dependent).
4) Purchase your favourites online
Photos are purchased from our online galleries.
Tip: Purchases are per Album, — add multiple photos from the same Album and check out before switching sections.

Dance Concert & Recital Photography (stage coverage for your show)
Your concert is the biggest moment of the year — and it goes by fast. Our concert photography captures the full story of the show: group routines, solos, emotion, costumes, lighting, and those once-a-year moments that deserve to be remembered.

Dance School Photo Days (end-of-year + studio-style imagery)
Photo Days are the simplest way to give every dancer beautiful, consistent imagery — without the stress of individual parent sales.
We run streamlined, studio-friendly photo days with a clear structure, consistent quality, and easy delivery.
How Photo Days are priced
• A simple per-student rate
• Billed directly to the studio (not parents)
• Sliding scale pricing based on total student numbers
Studios may add their own surcharge to cover venue hire, teacher posing time, admin, or to generate profit.
What’s included
• 2 solo images per costume, per student
• All group images for each costume (no additional charge)
• Digital delivery to the studio for easy distribution to families
Example:
A dancer with five costumes receives 10 solo images (2 per costume) plus 5 group images — 15 images total.
Additional solo images per costume can be arranged for an additional fee upon request.
Photo Day structure (to keep quality consistent)
• Photo Days are scheduled for a maximum of 8 hours per day
• If multiple days are required, a standard travel fee applies for additional days
• To minimise costs and simplify logistics, we recommend organising Photo Days so all dancers attend on the same day where possible
Teacher involvement & posing
To keep the day running smoothly and help dancers feel confident:
• Dancers who aren’t confident choosing their own poses will require teacher assistance
• Studios must have teachers present and ready to pose students as needed
• Pre-planning poses for younger/less experienced dancers is strongly recommended
Optional hands-off hosting (if you want us to send gallery links)
For studios who prefer a hands-off delivery option, we offer optional secure online hosting where JRD Dance Media sends gallery links for you to forward directly to families:
• $280 per month (up to 6 months)
Note: Hosting only — all enquiries, communication, and support remain the responsibility of the studio.
